"A great home office printer at a great price."5.0 starson by Libbydix86
Pros: -Wireless feature is great
-Print quality is great when cartridges are full
-Can print good pictures on photo paper
-Fantastic HP support! Youtube videos show you how to setup/fix wireless setup. HP software has PDF to Text to Image conversion tools!
Cons: It could not successfully print my friends wedding invites, but the paper was much thicker than a normal office paper. Don't expect this printer to do fancy or exotic printing that kinkos would, it just gets the job done, which is perfect for me.
Summary: HP support is a huge plus. I've had printers where when things go wrong and its all down hill from there. This one seems to have lots of documentation on the web on how to fix common setup problems or other printing issues.
The PDF converter in the HP software was a huge plus for me because I do not own the full Adobe Acrobat program, just the free Adobe reader. If you need to sign and scan documents this feature is a blessing. Also if you receive PDFs documents via email you can change them to text with the HP software. Very very helpful!
I haven't set up the fax machine yet because I haven't had the need, so I can not speak to that feature. However I do like having the option of using the scan bed or the document feeder to scan or copy documents. And if I ever start my own business, it is nice to know I could set up a fax line if needed.
If you need a basic printer for the home, this is an all-star printer for that. When the cartridges are low, the printing does lack some quality, but usually I do not need high quality printing. If I did, I would just go replace the cartridges with new full ones to get the best output.
