Cons I cannot fit the number of cons in this space. The printer worked beautifully...until the day that it died, after 6 months of use. Turned out the power cable was bad, but do you think HP Tech support was helpful in this matter? No! More below! on by lw1999 | Read full review

Cons It goes through a noisy approx.30 sec. prep time before each print job. Once it starts printing it is relatively fast. The included cartridges are too small. I have bought the XL cartridges and find them to last long enough. I print pictures & text. on by Jussi49840 | Read full review

Cons It reports a paper jam when their is no paper jam. The wireless functionality constantly fluctuates, it 'forgets' wireless network functionality. It uses an insane amount of ink when it does work. on by sabatu1 | Read full review

Cons Serious problem with ink use, indicator level and functionality when it 'says' it's low. Totally a waste of money. Response from HP was pathetic. Will never buy another HP product. on by macoyman | Read full review

Cons erratic performance, frequent error codes, fatal failure not long after replacing ink cartridges (w/HP products). No help from HP after repeated request. Less than 1 years of very light use. Worst product ever purchased. on by jrbaucom2 | Read full review

Cons after changing a print cartridge (always used genuine HP) the printer displayed "Ink System Failure". I went through every written instruction on the HP website and also had HP tech email help. Problem could not be solved. on by printerpoor | Read full review

Cons It's a fussbucke and an ink hog. Whenever you hit print, there is a delay of a minute or so, where all kinds of noises come from the printer as it gets ready to print. Kind of like a kid that squirms in his seat. Weird. on by normcow | Read full review

*Print head issues from many users
*HP doesn't know how to troubleshoot on by tammyvincent | Read full review -
Cons Misfeed/late feed rate is about 50%, causing a lot of wasted paper and ink. Ink cartridges exhaust quickly and they are expensive. Photos are routinely too dark. Photo editing software is not very friendly. Takes forever to initiate print sometimes. on by Dcordray | Read full review

Cons Expensive ink replacements with short life. Mine now has infamous "Ink System Failure" problem. Sucks up inks even when it's NOT working because of constant diagnostics. Noisy shaking and sputtering in between each printing job makes it even worse. on by susan117 | Read full review

Cons We replaced the ink so many times - definetely prints 90% less then what HP says it should. We also spent 45 to replace some print head part, hardly used it all in the 2-3 years we owned it. Just replaced ink about 4 months ago and only printed maybe 10 p on by ann0d | Read full review

Cons Has a manufacture defect: when it runs out of ink, it can die (i.e., needs to be sent back for servicing), goes through ink quickly on by jraymayhem | Read full review

Cons After only 15 months of use my printer failed to work. I had changed the ink cartridge before but the second time I changed the ink cartridge, HP brand, and I kept getting an error message. on by juneyb | Read full review
