Pros Print Quality, Wifi Function, Multi paper trays. Ink Cost
Cons Scan Quality, Loud Printer,
Summary I purchased this printer to replace a Canon Multifunction printer, as I wanted the benefit of wifi printing and the cost savings of Kodak ink. The print quality on this printer is great, the scan quality is ok compared to the Canon. Scanning a photo on both machines, the Canon is a bit more bright and the quality a bit better, but just a minimal amount, and deferentially not a deal breaker. Using the Wifi, you can not only print but also scan your photo's, no wired needed. This feature is left off the product details, and is a step above many of the other wifi printers available. It has a power saver mode, so you can leave it on and it will go to sleep (you set the amount of time before it enters this mode), but comes back to full function the second you send a signal to the printer. The printer holds both regular paper and 4x6 photo paper at the same time, so it is always ready to print what ever you are printing. Also to note, you can set it to automatically print on both sides of the paper, and this feature works great (called duplexer). I think this is a great step up for kodak, and you can't beat the ink cost. I do wish the scan quality was lab quality, as the print quality is. If you are wanting a scanner that will produce 100% original quality photos, you will probably want to pass on this multifunction, but in general, you will probably want to skip on any multifunction and go with a stand alone printer and stand alone scanner. If you are looking for a all in one machine that works as it is marketed, this is a the printer for you.
Pros Low ink costs, ease of setup, quality of prints.
Cons Noise on turn on, and initial cost higher than comparable.
Summary I was in the market for a new printer because my 10 year old HP was costing $70 a pop for ink refills, and had limited capabilities when installed on the home network. I saw the infomercial on Saturday and was highly skeptical because I hate anything being sold on infomercials. Then I found lots of bad reviews online. Went to Best Buy and Circuit City yesterday and made them print out samples for me on a Canon MP620 and the ESP-7. When I found the ESP-7 at Best Buy on sale for $150 I decided to give it a try. At home my 9 year old installed the printer on our Mac wirelessly in less than 10 minutes using the provided CD. Next I installed the printer on my HP Pavilion with VISTA again using the provided CD. No problem there either. Finally we printed two photos of the kids from Halloween that we had previously sent to Shutterfly for printing. Using the supplied sample Kodak paper and iPhoto on the Mac, the prints came out comparable in quality to Shutterfly's professional prints.Update: DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!
I love this machine and am ecstatic to be saving so much on ink from now on. I'm only sorry I waited so long, and I must assume that all the negative reviews are written by the technically challenged or by competitors who don't want the abusive ink pricing of HP, Epson, and Canon to end.

I wrote my original review during the first week of ownership. By the end of the first month my troubles started with pages simply printing blank and the printer dropping of the network. During the next 90 days I went through 3 free printheads from Kodak, two new printers from Kodak, and countless new ink cartridges. In the end I asked for my money back and was told "NO REFUNDS" regardless of how much documentation I had and how much trouble the printer was. I lost hours and hours of my life and more money than I care to admit. Save yourself the trouble: DO NOT BUY A KODAK PRINTER!
Today I own a Canon and a Brother. They both have been working flawlessly for many months.
Pros Print / Scan quality
Ease of Set-up
Price for Toners
Cons Had to play with Wireless Settings to get it to work
Printer tray don't not hold a lot of paper
Summary It's a good thing that I did not read the negitive reviews before buying this product.
I saw the product on an infomercial and since I was looking for a printing wireless solution to work with my Vista laptop this seemed ideal. Not to mention the price on the printer toners made it all the more attractive. I was able to do a Price match at Circut City so got the printer at a steal of a price.
Once home the unpacking was pretty straight forward. As I have said I wanted to use this printer / scanner to work with my Visa Laptop wirelessly. Setting up the printer to connect to my router was a snap. Oddly Vista for once did not put me through a lot of drama. The snag came with my security software which is Panda, not to worry in the Set-up once it failed 3 times it directed me to a help which was a internet link to a site that had listed all of the possible Security software and firewalls. I just clicked on the one that applied and got step-by-step instructions on how to get through my Panda firewall, once set-up it printed and scanned just fine.
I'm not giving the product 5 stars only because I'm a computer tech and knew how to troubleshoot the problems I was having, so was able to get the product to work. Not so sure it would have been as transparent for an average user.
As a side note for the MAC users or any user doing the wireless set-up - If the printer will see your router and you were able to configure, then the issue has to be the firewall. If you are using Vista then install the printer as the administrator and then go to the printer's security settings and add all of the users indivigually and give rights, giving rights to Everyone does not work with Vista.
Suming this up - I'm a happy camper
Pros Uses very little ink making it very cost effective. Initially pictures printed thru the software were excellent.
Cons Pictures printed from the scanner tray are poor. Yellow is orange. All other colors are deminished.
Summary Seems like an OK printer. However, after 30 days of use it has now gone south and all the pictures are grainey.Tech support is sending me a new printhead replacement. I'll keep you posted.
Pros It seems nice. Scanner works well.
Cons Will not print from my mac. My computer meets all of the system requirements, yet when I try to print using my wireless network, it will not work.
Summary Piece of junk. If Kodak is going to release a product, they should work out the kinks before misleading the public to believe that it works of all of the listed operating systems. I wasted 2 hours of my life on the phone with kodak tech reps, someone that had never worked with a mac before. Nice try, Kodak. I am taking this back to the store tomorrow.
