Pros Happy with the X7675 after Lexmark tech support directed me to proper drivers on their "hidden" webpage
Cons Softwear is not compatible with VISTA
Summary The softwear in the X7675 box causes major operating problems in Vista. Installing the softwear that came with the X7675 disabled my ENTIRE network and "killed" my wireless router while also causing my computer to freeze every time it was turned on...could only restore using "safe mode". I wasted several hours troubleshooting on my own and 2+ with Lexmark tech support before the problems were fixed.
Pros Easy installation, fast and QUIET operation, good print quality, easy to use interfaces. Lots of features.
Cons Has only one paper tray. Would be great if it had two.
Summary Bought this printer after researching many, and was mainly lured by its good reviews and 5-year warranty, which is unheard of with other brands. My other home printer is a Canon MP530, which after just one year of use started making horrible grinding noises when warming up and cooling down. The noise level of the Canon is just horrendous. With the Lexmark X7675, I read in some revies that is has a quiet operation and I can confirm that it is so. The printer is very quiet when starting up and when its goes in sleep mode. The print quality is pretty good. I have set the default preferences to B&W and Draft quality to save ink. I do not plan to use it much for color, so I can't comment on that, but the sample color prints looked okay (depends a lot on paper too). The print quality is pretty good, I have printed business cards with very small fonts and they looked good to me. The printer does have wireless connectivity, however, it works with a router to wirelessly link the computer to the printer. Not sure if I can print wirelessly from my laptop to the printer without a router. For the time being I am using the supplied USB cable. The printer also came with full size ink cartridges, which is good. I paid $120 at Staples, which was a good deal. The scan seems a little slow but works well with the ADF, and files can be easily saved to PDF. All in all, a very good printer so far, and with the 5-year warranty, you can at least be assured that if even something goes wrong, you're not totally out of luck. I have only used the printer for a few days so I can't comment on long-term performance. So far so good.
Pros Good price $120 for scan/copy/fax/printer
Cons Lexmark Printer Drivers would lock up my PC when booting up. Spent 3 hours with Lexmark Support. They wanted me to turn off Avast Virus Protection, which I refused. Then they said there was not problem with Lexmark S/W and I should call Avast.
Summary Lexmark had me download a tool called 7600Slowboot.exe. I ran executable and reinstalled Printer software. FIxed boot problem for about a day but then PC would not boot. I had to powercycle PC and reboot in SAFE mode. Still would not boot until I booted in SAFE mode, last good boot. I went into Control Panel, removed Lexmark Software and returned the Printer to Best Buy. Lexmark should be ashamed of themselves. I bought a Brother HL 2170W Laser for $118. No problems with printer drivers and much better quality print.

Pros The ability to use WIFI is the only perk for this printer.
Cons This printer is horrible. When copying, it takes a long time for it to start printing and the colors do not match. It take up alot of space. The fax set up was not legible; One screen came in over the other.
Summary All the comments about how great this thing is, are bogus. Save yourself the time and frustration by avoiding this printer. I'll be going back to an HP all in one.The printer turns on every time you go online or when the phone rings: Very annoying.

Pros cheap and very nice tech support
Cons What a nightmare of an installation. First off, I have NEVER had so much trouble with an install messing up my computer. I tried installing and uninstalling a few times and still no success.
Summary If you are really lonely and bored and have nothing better to do you can actually spend many hours on the phone with very nice people. So far the only strong point in this purchase. So far I have been on the phone two times with support in the Phillipines for a total of approx 5 hours. Yes, you got it right! They are now overnighting another printer. One of the problems that is a major concern besides the fact that they cannot get the printer to work on either computer is the fact that one of my computers is freezing up and not running properly once the software is installed. They even reinstalled from their end and the computer is still messed up. More shall be revealed.
