"Needs More Depth"on by thefox84
Pros Good learning Curve, simple
Cons No enough depth and editing functions
Summary I am forced to use Garageband when I make movies to avoid copyright infringement. It's easy to use, but I would like to see a lot more depth to the program, such as functions shown in Audacity for xp. It's ok, but everybody after two weeks will have heard all of the popular guitar riffs and whatever else. It's ok, but there should be garageband Pro for true music enthusiasts such as myself.
Pros so simple even I could unerstand it, works with Logic brilliantly
Cons haven't encountered any
Summary I've just purchased a macbook pro specifically for writing music and making basic recordings. Garageband has proven perfect for taking all the pressure out of recording my projects and ideas, which after all is how it should be. the loops and ease of editing is great and it can be carried across into Logic Express for a little more editing.
Pros it's not from microsoft.
Cons cant think of any
Summary great product. easy to use.
Pros Fun to Use and If You have a simple USB Music Keyboard...It will take over your life
Cons I wish I could change the Tempo once in a while
Summary No program on the PC easily allowed me to be as open and simple in my music production and while their are some things left to be desired...namely tempo changes and some sampling tools (so I could take the drums out of a song I wanted to sample) its still amazing. It works with itunes like a dream and is also easy to coordinate with imovie from the itunes conversion. Its the best because Apple touches every base. Much better than any of the included things from Windows etc (PAINT??? Nowhere near this).
