A bad deal, and a worse headache.

Pros: easy to use

Cons: All music is lost if the hard drive is wiped or a new one is used. Music doesn't upload smoothly in some cases.

Review: iTunes is essentially there to cheat people out of money. Avoid using an ipod/iTunes if possible. There are much cheaper alternatives that don't have such an inhibitive system. The computer with my itunes on it crashed, because the main hard drive wiped, taking my iTunes with it. Getting another brand of mp3 player would have been a much better choice.

Latest version: Too slow, seems broken.

Pros: I've loved iTunes for a long time, it's freindly and it's a Mac product, which seems to make it better.

Cons: The latest version suffers greatly from slow startup. It may be the latest version, but it's so slow, it must be broken.

Review: When software exceeds its purpose, it becomes a constraint, loading down the user with self aggrandizement of useless features that eat up the vitality and enjoyment of your computer. A perfect example is Windows Vista. In fact, that's a perfect benchmark for this comparison.

Abysmal. Total waste of money. I am so angry.

Pros: You get a lossy reproduction of the music you pay for

Cons: You can't use it in anything but ITunes/Real unless you burn

Review: I totally share sleepydad's (pevious reviewer) sentiments about ITunes. Man, was I one irate customer when I discovered that, after having paid $18 for an album, $18 for which I worked hard, I could not play said album using anything except the ITunes or Real audio players, (which in my opinion are awful media players, especially Real as you have to pay extra to use all its audio features) due to format constrictions. When I looked up the files on my hard drive they were unique in that they do not show up in the Windows "open" tab, and you cannot move or copy them anywhere from the ITunes directory. This is crap. I feel like ITunes has taken my computer hostage and once I buy some blank CDs & burn what I bought onto CD (thank goodness you're at least allowed to do that) I will promptly delete ITunes and any trace of its existence from my computer. I have never before purchased music whose playback capabilities are so incredibly restricted. I have read through ITunes' Terms of Service and Terms of Contract and I do not in fact see any reference to this issue. I feel totally ripped off. Especially as what I bought is not even a faithful reproduction, but a lossy, compressed reproduction of the music I want to listen to. And I am forced to use the ITunes or Real player to play back this lossy, sub-standard reproduction. Once again, I can hardly express how angry I am that I cannot use my preferred players: Winamp and Windows Media Player to listen to what I paid for. Stay away from ITunes. It is virtually daylight robbery of your hard earned cash. Get your music from somewhere else instead.

Too limiting

Pros: Easy to use

Cons: No real portabiliy

Review: With 2 PC and 3 iPods buying music from iTunes is almost a waist of money. You can't transfer music that you paid for from one iPod to another unless they are using the same PC as their host.
Even then you have to be very careful about syn of one iPod and wiping out other purchased music on that device.
I'm sticking to MP-3 sources in the future.

Deceiving product line buyer beware

Pros: Nice user interface and concept

Cons: Stung by the inability to save files anything other than Ipod native.

Review: I as well was shocked to discover that I was not able to save the format as MP3. After several emails with customer service (poor response time) they took the hard-line approach and indicated that this is the way that it is. Would be nice to have some type of disclaimer to the fact that you are about to purchase a capitalized product that can only be used in an Ipod or a few small select devices. Not to mention any other players that you may own that is a little bit older and plays only mp3 formatted music. Ipod is a top of the line product, but I am sure to look elsewhere when it come time to purchase a new player.

Newbie question...iTunes and winamp?

Pros: none at this time

Cons: none at this time

Review: I'm thinking of trying iTunes, but must have MP3 format with no DRM. My player will be Winamp, and that's that! iTunes says it rips to AAC or MP3, but can winamp play those MP3's, or is there some DRM put in the track? I just now read that it plays on up to 5 PC's or iPods. I'm am mostly interested in iTunes for the music store and nothing else, but what are the real world restrictions, if any?

Thanks.

itunes controls the format, It is limited to MPEG4 format

Pros: If you have a MPEG4 devise it works good.

Cons: Cannot convert to different format.

Review: I purchased 10 songs. I then went to convert the songs to the MP3 format to allow me to play the songs on my RIO.
To my surprise the song have a protection on them.
I can not convert the songs THAT I PURCHASED to any other format. The question I have is. If I own the songs why is itunes telling me what device I can play then on?
I feel like I have been taken. The songs cost .99 cents each. I can not use the music in anything except my computer.I contacted customer service and was told that the songs are in fact only limited to MPEG4 devices. This is wrong. I own the songs. If you are planning to use the music on anthing other then MPEG4 device stay away from this service.

It's Better tha WMP

Nice Software But Over-rated

Pros: Nice interface, smooth play, streaming abilities

Cons: No skins, limited mainly to apple products, mp3 cd burning tree sets

Review: I have used both WMP 10 and iTunes to a great extent over the last month trying to figure out which is better. I have come to the conclusion that the only reason you might want iTunes is if you have an iPod. Don't get me wrong, I like iTunes a lot, but WMP 10 is better in my opinion. Why? Everything iTunes can do (except auto synch w/ iPod) WMP 10 can do, and better in many cases. WMP 10 can do everything with playlists iTunes can, it also has a much better integration of different media types. The airport feature with iTunes is nice, but Windows media connect devices can be found just as cheap for WMP 10, and they also allow media control from the device itself, not just from the pc. Plus you can show other media then just audio. The built in music store in itunes is another thing I hear praised, well WMP 10 has multiple options for music stores all integrated flawlessly. Plus you can rent and buy programming and movies within WMP 10 also. The other main thing I love in WMP 10 is the skins and customizability, which is nonexistent on iTunes. In conculsion, I think iTunes is great, but for a more true and filling media player/organizer WMP10 features and looks take it to a level above iTunes.

iTunes and Album Art

Pros: Very Intuitive Interface

Cons: Does not automatically obtain album art from ripped CDs.

Review: I recently purchased the iPOD Photo and am thrilled with it, however, I find it strange that Apple would not support the retrieving of album art automatically when the CD is ripped when they now have a product that proudly displays that art when played. I find myself using MusicMatch Jukebox to maintain my ID3 tags and then importing into iTunes. They definitely need more work in this area.

Still the Best Music Player, Now With Podcast Support

Pros: Great support for burning CDs, podcasting, and iPods, best music store, user-friendly, great song info options (with fantastic info-fetching DB) and file support, good visualizer (and lyric-finding)

Cons: Podcast scheduling and settings could be more advanced, plug-in and skin support would be nice, more audiobooks in music store and more stores would make iTunes near-perfect

Review: Here is my review of iTunes 4.9 at the time of release:

START
Software Review of iTunes 4.9 and iPod Mini Software 1.4
06.28.2005 (about 10:15 to 11:30 AM EST)
I have just updated my iPod Mini and iTunes software to new versions and am excited about the new podcasting features being included. I have been using podcasts for a long time, but it is a hassle to use a separate program. The new iTunes has a very convenient podcast feature. The podcast directory feature is built into the Music Store, and it is running sluggishly, probably because many people are on checking it out like me. I have now subscribed to all my podcasts and, after only 20 minutes of importing lists and adding to my playlists (I have alot of podcasts and I found some more on iTunes, some great news ones!), my last podcasts are being downloaded. People were saying that since Apple picked all the podcasts to be included, the choices would be limited, but I have found some podcasts that have never even existed! Better yet, there are less unreliable and junky ones, cheers to Steve Jobs! Now on to my iPod and its software update (the time is about 10:46), which is supposed to make it more podcast-friendly. Wow, the iPod podcast feature is also really cool and I have now officially caught up on all of my 28 podcasts (6 of them not working because of, I guess, the publisher has a broken link and the iTunes podcast directory is just a newborn). For the podcasts on the iPod, iTunes creates a kind-of super-smart playlist that keeps the podcasts seperate from ordinary songs (kind of like it does on iTunes itself, except less advanced) to store all the scheduled downloads of podcasts. As of now (11:16) I have not tried the podcasting feature on my iPod, yet. Okay, the time is 11:23 and I have finished all my podcast work on the computer, now for my final job: checking (well, listening to) all my hard work on my iPod!

iTunes crashes everytime I start it

Pros: Good when it works

Cons: Started crashing on WinXP for some strange reason

Review: I loved the software until it worked. It started crashing suddenly with an error "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close".

I searched online for a solution, but people have been seeing this problem for the past 1 year without any solution in newer upgrades from Apple.

Say Goodbye to Your RAM

Pros: Easy to use interface

Cons: Memory hog causes skipping/stuttering playback

Review: The PC version of iTunes 4.9 sounds like a great improvement, especially with the integration of Podcasting into the music store. The problem occurs when you download and install it; iTunes begins using every available scrap of memory it can find, chewing through your physical RAM and then chowing down on your PC's virtual paging system. At least, that's what it did with my 2.4 GHz Pentium IV with 1 GB RAM.

The result? All of your music files instantly become horribly annoying to listen to, as you get about 1/2 seconds worth of music before a brief pause, then another 1/2 second and pause, and so on. And since your memory's gone the way of the dodo, all of your other open apps stall out as well.

The only alternative is, unfortunately, to uninstall 4.9 and reinstall an earlier version if you happen to have one handy. This means you lose your library, playlists, and settings in order to restore normal service.

If you're a PC user, do yourself a favor and skip the 4.9 release. Maybe they'll get it right with version 5.0.

I just Love it

Pros: It is easy to choose music from, it also transfers music by copying and pasting into playlists or simply drag and drop. The playlists are easy to pick and to create, and the searcher it's helpful!

Cons: not that many radios online for it.

Review: I love the iTunes and I use it at all the times while I am in my computer, I think is much better than RealOne and WMP, because everything is easier to use. I love to have my iTunes in the taskbar making it easy to access my music anytime!
It's really easy to upgrade and to access to the library, store, playlists.
Features like the "25 most played" makes for me an easy way to listen to music that I like and I've been playing for a while.

Another improvement to a great piece of software

Pros: makes my ipod that much better

Cons: still no line in recording

Review: Bottom line is, its still the same great itunes that makes my pretty new ipod work so well and so easily. its also where i go to buy music online. now i can even check out this podcasting thing ive heard so much about lately, and i still dont have to go any farther than the old familiar itunes to do it. all they have left is to add the ability to sync rss feeds into the notes folder on my ipod (as u can do with some third party freeware) and itunes will once again completelycontrol my ipod.

The Windows version has some issues.

Pros: The best music application I've used.

Cons: Major slowdown when trying to scroll in Music Store.

Review: The Itunes application uses 100% of my processor when trying to scroll in the Music Store especially the iMix section. I've encountered this problem on three different computers. All three PC's had 512MB of RAM 1.6Ghz-2.4Ghz procs and ran a virus free up to date copy of Windows XP SP2. This problem occurs when I attempt to scroll up or down in the Music Store. The application becomes very unresponsive when scrolling this makes buying music a pain. Other than that it works perfect IMO Apple needs to work on the Windows version a little more.

Nice Update for iTunes

Pros: still easy to use, podcast support

Cons: wierd spot to subscribe to podcast

Review: I use iTunes for all my music, and I'm on OS X Tiger. I was pretty pleased with everything in the previous version of iTunes. I decided to update so that I could try out podcast, a feature that cNet has been talking about for quite some time.

I instantly subscribed to two podcast of websites that I visit often. So far the new feature is pretty nice. I see why people like podcast too.

iTunes does a good job of handling podcast along with your other music. The only downside is that they consider subscribing to a podcast 'Advanced.' They should have made a podcast menu or something.

Pros: Intuitive use; supports wireless streaming with Airport Express

Cons: Weak streaming radio offering.

This software is why iPod's continue to rule the roost

Pros: The very best, most intuitive, most helpful, lovely interface for organizing and transferring music to a player.

Cons: Only works (easily) with iPods

Review: The very very best in software for organizing, maintaining and transferring a digital music collection - iPod is a great player, but others like Rio, iRiver, Cowon iAudio and (reportedly) the new Sony do have significantly better sound...but where they all fall completely apart is the lack of iTunes to get the music on and off - it's the software that makes the difference if you manage a huge music database as I do...

One Word : Awesome!

Pros: Does everything that you want it to do.

Cons: No real support or interoperably with Windows Media or Real Audio files. You have to go through a long steps, in order for iTunes to work with your songs.

Review: Apple Computer still has it right, when it comes to legally downloading your favorite music off of the internet. While Rhapsody charges the same for downloadable songs and albums, you still have to pay a fee to stream songs to your computer to see whether you like them or not. Napster's service works the same way, but if you decide to quit their service, you loose out on your music that you got from them. Apple does it all right from previewing songs, to downloading and ripping them onto an audio cd. The seemless integration with iTunes and an iPod is simply amazing. If you want the most out of your music service and have a portable digital music player, then iTunes and iPod is the choice for you.

Cons: No database for album art; difficult and confusing to insert album art yourself

Great for music; Needs more work on burning audiobooks

Pros: Great for music: simple, straight forward, etc.

Cons: Audiobook burning

Review: All that is said about iTunes regarding music is true; it is great. However, when it comes to burning an audiobook to CD there is no flexability on how CDs are partitioned. Also, you only get one chance to record a particular Audible audiobook to CD; so, if a particular disk fails to record the first time you have to call Audible customer service to have the book repurchased and redownload it.
For Audible programs it is best to use Audible manager for burning and downloading. You can click-and-drag the audiobook from Audible Manager to iTunes to get it on teh iPod.

So quick, so intuitive, so fun!

Pros: Absolutely awesome music store, also, an amazing searching capability, as well as a fantastic sorting, and a very clean and crisp interface.

Cons: I would like to see more built in flexibility in retrieving artwork, and burning more than the set number of times

Review: I use iTunes everyday, all day long. I’d say I have a fair amount of music, around 3000 songs. I use “Smart Playlists” to organize all of my songs by genre, which are all updated automatically when a new song of that genre is added to my library.

The search feature, I’d say the second best thing in iTunes. I love that fact that you can see results as you type, instead of typing, then waiting for everything to be sorted.

The Best feature is defiantly the Music Store. So many songs, so many choices, it seems almost endless; almost anything you could want is there for the buying. The speed at which the transfers happen are awesome, not to mention the quality of the songs, which are even better!

search function needs work

Pros: integrated with one of the best music stores

Cons: memory footprint and incomplete search function

Review: I have lots of Chinese music with Chinese ID3 tags (located in English artist name folders)

With iTunes, I cannot type Jay and retrieve all Jay Chow (周杰倫)'s songs. It only searches thru ID3 but not its folder name. I don't want to type Chinese in the search field, therefore, the search function is useless to me.

WinAMP searches through folder names and ID3 tags flawlessly.
Updated
Here's the problem:

my mp3's here: /jay chow/(chinese name).mp3

when I type "jay" in the search box, the songs don't come up.

When I do the same in WinAMP, the songs show up.

iTunes simply does not help me in finding my music.

PS: Thanks to the iPod/iTunes fanboys for my "1 out of 8 people found this review helpful." They don't like ppl pointing out that their software is inferior.

Pros: Everything . . .

Cons: It wasn't around 10 years ago...

Review: It appears that the people that rated ITunes lower than a 3, thought you could use something other than an Ipod with the service. Now is that Apples fault or theirs since they did not take the time to research the service. (Browse CNET why dont you)!!!
Basically Itunes is the easier, most user friendly interface for burning and organizing music there is. I have had no issues with support because, IT DOESNT NEED SUPPORT. If you need support for ITunes and making it work properly perhaps you should step away from the computer for good. IT CANT GET ANY EASIER!!!!!

Look elsewhere for a good music managment program

Pros: Attractive interface, speedy, easy to use for beginers

Cons: lacks almost any in depth features.

Review: If you want a one sentence recomendation, try this. Use windows media player 10, it is easily the best media managment program out there and beats iTunes hands down. Now for the more in depth stuff.
I have tried almost every music software out there, and I figured it was time to jump on the bandwagon and try iTunes, after all, everyone's doing it.. right? At first I was highly pleased by the attractive, clean interface, and the speed of the searching (an apple hallmark) and even the music store. Yes I didnt mind the music store personally, I know there are many complaints, but hey if you want to use a player other than an ipod, its easy to strip the drm and rencode, however you will lose audio quality, but you get what you pay for and itunes is free.

Now on to the cons. This is where iTunes loses ground to a more in depth solution like wmp 10.

1. First off there is no option to use more than stereo speakers. While music is only 2 channel, it would be nice to be able to at least listen to it in all my speakers even if it just duplicates the front channels. I paid for 5.1 speakers and a soundcard, i might as well get to use them.
2. Burning is a complete mess. I know that playlists are all the rage nowadays, but I dont use them, at all. I know I'm not the only one either, but for some reason apple assumes that you would never want to burn a cd, only a playlist, and as such there is no burn option when viewing music that isnt a playlist. What this means is if you want to burn a cd, you will have to creat a playlist with all the tracks from that cd, and then burn the playlist. Am I the only one that finds this mind bogglingly annoying?
3. iTunes does not look up album art for you automatically... you'd think this was a standard feature by now, especially with access to apples extensive music store but nope, you have to manually add art for each cd, im sorry but with 60+ gigs of music, i dont have time for that.
4. No advanced tag editing features. to edit track information you have to either click each field in the media library view and edit it one thing at a time, or highlight multiple tracks and hit "view track info" (one would think it would say "edit" but oh well) but for some reason even when using this option, the changes dont save outside of itunes, which brings me to my next point.
5. no folder monitoring. for some reason itunes assumes that all new music is going to come from ripping with itunes, or from their music store, if you get music any other way it will not appear in your library unless you manually scan for it (at which point all your tag changes from point #4 revert back to their original values) this also creates the problem of duplicate tracks. im not sure why itunes has such a problem with this, as i never encounter this in other media players. even when rescanning my library
6. itunes reorganzied and fractured my folder and directory structure, even after had explicitly told it not to reorganize anything.
7. songs purchased from the music store are only 128 bitrate

All in all the gripes i have with itunes far outweigh, its benefits. I'm sure if you have your ipod and 10 cds and you wanna be "cool" walking around campus, then itunes is perfect for you, but if you want a rich full featured, music managment program, you'll have to look elsewhere. My personal recomendation is windows media player 10.

Horrible Service

Pros: Good selection of songs

Cons: Very bad service

Review: iTunes has terrible customer service. I accidently downloaded 2 version of the same songs because an error in their server, and the customer service would not refund my money. I know it's only $0.99 but it showed that they want profit more and not loyal customers. I decided to cancel my account after only 3 days. What a dissapointing experience.

Pleasantly surprised

Pros: Terrific interface with IPOD, very fast and easy conversion of CDs.

Cons: Some fiddling with MP3s on CDs to move them over.

Review: I was pleasantly surprised. It works very well with the IPOD - synchronization is a fast and automated process. Also quickly converts your CDs (or the tracks you identify) for the IPOD.

Good with MP3's (use the properties window which has forms or boxes to touch up the tags) -- no need to fiddle with the file names and file paths. Not quite as smooth with MP3s you have on a CD --some fiddling required to move them into your library on a permanent basis.

May buy some titles from their site. But it was much better at organizing my music library than I expected.

A rock and a hard place

Pros: Great quality - great price

Cons: Will not convert to MP3 for a player other than iPod

Review: Man was I irked when I finished downloading twenty some odd dollars worth of music from iTunes and tried to convert the selections to MP3's to use on my Rio Cali MP3 player. The files are locked leaving you only two options: burn to CD or transfer to Apple's iPod. I'm a die-hard Mac user, but was absolutely furious when I found out that I could not put this music that I purchased legally on a player that was not Apple brand. I figured out a time consuming way to do it after some experimentation, but I won't post that here or the thieves at Apple might block that too. Bottom line, Macs are great, iTunes is a flippin' ripoff unless you want to cave in and buy their brand of player. There are a ton of MP3 download sites out there that don't sell a deceiving product as Apple is doing with iTunes.

The best all-around

Pros: After using Winamp for years, I was reluctant to switch to iTunes, but since doing so, I haven't looked back at all. Many of the great features are the more subtle ones that you don't notice unless you manage all your music on your computer. It's much m

Cons: No-WMA Support - This isn't a con in my mind, I couldn't care less about windos media, but it is a limitation. You can't remove it from your taskbar and minimize to just the system tray. I always leave iTunes running, but don't want it to take up space

Pros: Extremely easy to use. Very intuitive. Store has lots of options to find what you are looking for. Integrates smoothly with iPod. Large selection. Reasonable prices.

Cons: AAC audio format only works in iTunes and on iPod (but that's all I use, so no complaints really). I wish store had a wishlist and a locker feature.

sux for burning mp3 discs

Pros:

Cons:

Review: I thought making mp3 CDs was supposed to be easy with iTunes. Its good at organizing and playing, but when I go to burn my 260 songs, it says: initializing... then comes up with "unknown error (-50)". I looked up the error on the apple tech support and it says: one or more of the files is corrupt or damaged. get rid of the damaged file(s). What a stupid error, and now the question is which file?!! I have listened to them all and they all sound ok. Theres no mac utility that scans mp3s for corruption or damage.

Finally, an mp3 player that makes sence!

Pros:

Cons:

Review: Ok, to oh so uninformed Window$ users out there, lots of things run on mac and yes, it's still more stable than Window$ will ever be. If you're upset that iTunes won't work on your Window$ PC then I can give you a few hints on how to fix that. iTunes is absolutely wonderful. The best thing I like is the playlists. No wizards or special dialogue boxes, just click add, name the playlist, and drage your songs from your library over to them. The rest of the program is similarly easy. And one more thing; I CAN FINALLY RIP MY SONG INTO MP3'S FOR FREE. Musicmatch purposefully slows the process down and Windose Media won't even do it at all for free. Come on, take the 5 minutes it takes to learn the Mac OS and life will be much easier.

Great App, but nested playlist would be nice.

Pros:

Cons:

Review: iTunes is the most intuitive and fun to use jukebox I have ever come across. The Windows counterparts don't come close to iTune's ease of use and its intuitive interface. I highly recommend it. There is, however, as with any product, room for improvement. I would like to have the ability to nest playlists within playlists. This feature would be very helpful, especially for those with large music libraries. Less essentially, I would like for iTunes to have the ability to retrieve lyrics and album covers; but this is not that important. Overall, the user experience I got out of iTunes has been extremely good, and the product is really a joy to use. It really makes complicated work of organizing files a snap.

Very good, but needs less processor use and skin support.

Pros:

Cons:

Review: iTunes is great but really could use skin support; even in minimized form it takes up too much screen real estate. Programs like Mint Audio are much better in this regard. Also, even though iTunes 3 is better than before, it still eats up way too many processor cycles - on my 300 MHz G3 it varies between 20 and 30% where as Mac Amp takes up about 11%. Why can't Apple make their own software run efficiently on their own OS?

MP3 Management has never been easier!

Pros:

Cons:

Review: I have used at least four different MP3 managment software programs and none of the have been as fluid and intuitive as iTunes. The autocomplete, spell checker, and fast synchranization with my iPod make for a no hassle experience. I feel sorry for my PC friends still stuck with WMP or Winamp and similar products. Maybe Apple should pull a Microsoft and make the program able to work across the different platforms. It would demonstrate even further that Apple makes great products.

Best music player on any platform!

Pros:

Cons:

Review: I've used several music playing programs on both mac and pcs such as Macast, SoundJam, Audion, WMA, RealJukebox, WinAmp, etc... and I must say that this program tops them all. Sure, each one has it's bright spots but iTunes 3 has superior quality in EVER area. When I used a pc, I had to use one program to rip a song then another to catalog it and still another to burn it. On the mac, it is all done from iTunes. I just can't believe the smart playlist feature or the sound check (on the pc, this too required a totally seperate program). Imagine a playlist that dynamically changes every time you listen to a song to meet you specific criteria...amazing! I think the only thing you can't do in iTunes 3 is record and cut songs, then again they do need to save something for iTunes 4. I should probably meantion that iTunes has never skipped or paused even when working on several other programs at the same time. The pc programs skip all the time even when using only one other program. Oh well, it's a good thing I own the mac and not the pc.

The Two People Who Posted Negative Comments Are Complete Idiots

Pros:

Cons:

Review: They haven't even used it, and they dismiss it as unworthy because there are programs on the PC that do more, albeit not quite as easy, and for $30 and up, instead of free. this guy gfunk says that other PC programs have more "stability"? Um...I've used iTunes since version 1 and it has never crashed. And PcLuva says that nothing runs on macs...well if nothing runs on Macs I must be using something else because I have Office, Every Web Browser and Game under the sun...it goes on and on. Really, if you're looking to switch to Linux or something other than windows, give macs a look. They run unix, and yet have a great interface and are compatible with nearly everything.

Pros:

Cons:

Review: I got sucked into Apple's switch program, and the iApps almost made it worthwhile. It may not have every feature (a tag for tempo? big deal), but for the casual user, its features and interface can't be beat. Too bad the rest of OSX doesn't live up to the hype. I have since sold the iMac and bought another PC, but I do miss iTunes and iPhoto.

iTunes + OSX = the perfect jukebox

Pros:

Cons:

Review: The new iTunes is a great leap forward. True, it still lacks nested playlists, but I gave it a 5 for features simply because it is the best player out there. And it is on the best OS out there. I'm glad that someone realizes that those of us with more GB's of music than GB's of everything else on our system need a comprehensive way to manage our files. Peace to MC Trouble.

The BEST mp3 player!

Pros:

Cons:

Review: iTunes 3 is just an excillent improvement on the older versions. The way it's designed to work seamlessly with the iPod is truly outstanding. I think it's unfair to list 'not working with windows' as a con because i never see 'not working with a mac' listed as a con. The only con I can think of is the uncompatability with OS 9 (as I use iTunes for internet radio on a 3400). This is just another example of the dedicated Apple has to it's customers.
