Cons one problem, won't run

Summary i installed itunes 5 with quicktime 7, itunes installed fine but quicktime will not. and as i have been reminded when I try to run Itunes is that I cant run Itunes 5 without quicktime 7, which again won't install. So I'm not having a problem with Itunes so much as a problem with quicktime, but I can't run Itunes 5 all the same.

Pros Great if you use Microsoft Outlook/Express and don't burn CDs

Summary Users of most email programs other than Microsoft's will find themselves with a DLL error thanks to iTunes new feature to sync with Outlook. Once fixed (by running a Microsoft program "fixmapi.exe"), I found that iTunes 5.0 wouldn't burn CDs. So it's back to 4.9 until 5.1 arrives. See the uglyness on Apple's support forum.

Cons it auto syncs with ipod, why do i have to use it?

Summary For some people itunes with the ipod is great, But i really dont like it, i hate how it tries to auto sync the mp3z in the list to the ipod, and once i delete the music off my laptop (for space reasons) that i cant rename the songs on the ipod (once they are on it)

why cant it just show up as another harddrive on my desktop and let me drag and drop the files over to it?? wouldn't that be easier? then i could sort and rename them on the IPOD itself without the "itunes" interface? sounds good to me. Next up winamp pro still has them beat with the internet tv stations/music stations.

Lets say i put "blah" on the ipod, then i have the same band named "bLaH" and i upload that to the ipod, then i delete the folders on my HD. Now i have no way to rename "bLaH" so it will go under one artist name of "blah" do you all see? so your stuck with 5 different spellings for the same band

Cons wish it was quicker when starting up

Summary When I first downloaded it and installed I received an error message but the install still went fine (minor glitch, I assumed) except the video preview of TV shows didn't work. It was a problem on Apples' end and was soon fixed. It seems to load a bit slower than previous versions but the difference is negligible. No issues yet but I have to have more time with it and see how it goes. I enjoy the TV downloads but they have yet to get other non-ABC/Disney shows like CSI, Smallville, Nip Tuck, 24, etc. If they could get other shows it would be even better.
