    "Technically very good, but...."

Pros: Plays almost everything, generally very well

Cons: annoying habit of installing "extras" and calling home

Summary: There are various opinions of this product out there - as a player it is very capable. However, if you research back to the days of when Car Talk dropped them as a media format and then they promised to "clean up" their act, well they did, back then. The latest software has a nasty habit of trying to call home an awful lot (for what? I've turned off auto update - look for Tkbell or realsched) There's also the issue of weatherbug installations being reported and in the TWC folder and Googletoolbar folder - items I don't want. C'mon Real, this doesn't endear you to people.
