The Bottom Line The HP Media Vault MV2120 is a two-bay NAS drive that novice networkers will find simple to set up and use. While it offers flexible expansion options with a free internal drive bay and two USB ports, the intrusive Media Vault software and lack of a print server dampen our enthusiasm a bit. HP's Media Vault is a storage drive that offers an easy way to back up files from your networked PCs, along with the ability to stream your digital media files to other networked devices in your home. We really like this drive. The Disk Station DS410 is one of the most affordable four-bay full-feature NAS servers on the market. While it's overwhelming for novice home users, advanced users will also find it to be one of the best RAID 5-capable NAS servers for their home or small business environments. The Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ v2 makes a decent NAS server for homes and small offices that need lots of storage space. The DiskStation DS712+ is one of the best dual-bay NAS servers on the market, for both home and office environments. It's also one of the few that offer storage scalability for those who want to start small and add more capacity later.
