Summary: I've experienced a couple of hard drive failures in the past. And I do not want to go through that ever again especially risking losing my project backups and photos. So I decided to invest into a serious centralized backup solution, with a choice of RAID modes, something that is easy to setup and manage. A friend of mine, who is a system admin recommended me to try LaCie. I've heard about the brand before, so I've chosen LaCie 5big Network 2 5TB server. Since I unpacked 5big and installed it, it has been working flawlessly. It is indeed a very reliable and easy NAS server with plenty of features. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious and reliable network server.
