Very easy to use and setup. Support is usually quick to assist.
Cons
Sizing based on users and not history is a bad idea, even to their support dept. Indexing performance is so bad, I cannot use this for legal discovery for another two years. Still waiting for a resolution and management will not return my calls.

I love everything about this solution, except that it is not meeting the needs of the business. The first unit I received was DOA. Importing years of history from Exchange is buggy as heck, very slow, and failed often. A couple of failures forced me to start from scratch; further slowing the implementation. Still not sure the import has ALL our history, since import reports don't exist and even the import task status will delete after a few weeks.
Imported mails sit in an index queue until indexed and deduplicated, and can only then be queried upon. Even thought I've imported my Exchange history (about 15 million emails), there are still 8 million messages in queue and they are processing at a rate that will take another two years to complete. This makes the device unusable for its intended purpose.
Support has been addressing this issue for almost a month. Management will not return my calls and I've finally logged a complaint with customer service. Support was quick to say that my device is undersized, even though I only have 750 employees and most of them are drivers. Legal and executive management want to know why it's been over six months and they still can't get evidence relating to cases they thought they would have data on months ago.
My advice... consider your email history, even if Barracuda doesn't. Don't tell management that you can give them evidence in X months until you've seen what your box will do. Don't expect the performance when new to reflect what you will see once it's fully loaded with data. All in all, not the safest purchase out there for this application when your name is on the line. Too bad, since I think Barracuda makes a great email filtering appliance.
