"belkin hub worked one week, not the next"
on by amznntwrkPros I have uninstalled, reinstalled, jumped thru hoops...cannot get it to work. sees my printers, but, cannot get it to activate. The icon flashes, but doesn't connect
Cons I cannot get it to work again..one weekend it did work..the next it did not, cannot find any updates that would have messed it up...I am going nucking futs!
Summary dang the luck!!!
Using windows 7 64 bit...says my sxuptp driver is bad...but, when I do the diagnostics, it says it is good. aaarrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhh. -
"Good device for a small home network"
on by sgrissom_netzeroPros Easy to install, clear instructions, I did not have to do anything high tech to get it to work.
Cons Software has to be installed on every PC that is connected to the network.
Summary The software was easy to install. The device worked perfectly with my multifunction printer and external hard drive the first time I tried them. The installation wizard was easy to use so no high tech configuring is required. The box does indeed say "share printers and other USB devices over your network", so understand it is not a true "print server", but a network sharing device. You could achieve the same functionality by sharing these devices from your computer. But since a print server was not in my budget, this device fits the bill and is easier to manage in the long run.

"Works ok, but slow USB and RJ45"
on by excatsPros Good for sharing normal printer, scanner and memory sticks. I've tested also card reader, wireless mouse and wifi adapter - they work :).
Cons Slow connections make restrictions: TV tuners don't work and USB hard disk access is slow. Disconnecting memory devices is not working always.
Summary Belkin USB hub has been under my desk for two years sharing printer, scanner and one USB stick.
I like this USB hub because I'm using three separate PCs and basic devices are always accessible. -
"Warning: Not compatible with Windows 7!"
on by JROJAIPros Works great on Windows XP, Vista 32 and 64 bit.
Cons Is totally useless if a PC with Windows 7 tries to use it. No indication from the support web site if or when it will be Windows 7 compatible.
Summary Don't purchase until Windows 7 driver is released.

"Not good and not compatible with many hardware."
on by humh3Pros Easy set up
Cons not compatible with other hardware, it kept on shutting down external hard drive because it "draws too much current"
Summary I read the box before buying this product and thinking that I can hook up my printer, external hard drive and other stuff.
The printer works fine, but the external hard has to be disconnected because the Hub control is saying that it's drawing too much current and it needs to be disconnected, and shut my external hard drive. So i tested my I pod, it says the same thing. So is the camera. According to the box, ou can hook all this up with no problem. I thought I bought a great product by saving some money from buying a network external hard drive. I hope the store will take this back from me, because I am returning it.
