"Good Little Router"
Pros: Nice stable connection that requires no reboots. Nice range and easy setup. Looks alright too.
Cons: Many versions with no real differences (mine is the V9 version) non removeable antenna and only one external antenna. Firmware gives rather limited data about the connected devices, data rates, signal strength and bandwidth used.
Summary: I've been testing quite a few different wireless routers in my house including WRT54G's with various 3rd party firmwares, D-Link DIR-655 etc. This little router which I bought for $40 at Wal Mart works as good as anything in my home/setting. My clients are all 802.11G so having N with the DIR-655 was no big deal and that router was just too unstable. Whereas this one (WGR-614 V9) can run for months, no problems and no reboots.
Range has been very good despite the non removable antenna and in my home having a WRT54G with DD-WRT (70mw) and a 7Db omni was not noticably better than the stock WGR-614 which I found to be rather surprising.
I don't use my connection to do bit torrent or anything strenuous like that so I can't say how well the WGR614 will handle that sort of workload but I do use it to stream Netflix movies via my Roku box and this works flawlessly.
If you're looking for an inexpensive yet good overall wireless home router the WGR614 is a good choice.
