Pros It seems to do everything that you could want a firewall/router to do.
Cons This is a big Con.. It is incredibly un userfriendly, the hoops even someone experienced with Zywall kit had to jump through was incredible, ended up paying one to install it...
Pros Easy to configure, provides dual redundant WAN connections and all the normal firewall and routing features. I have been using one for several years now and it beats sonicwall others I have tried that cost 2 or 3 times more. Help is built in and gives a g
Cons Lack of local support not that I have needed it, I have not been able to get the telstra nextG dongle to work as a third wan connection.
Summary I am looking for a second one and I came across this site. I am more than happy to buy another one and recommend it to any medium to large business. who is looking for dual WAN capabilities.
Pros Very versitile and lots of functionality
Responsive help desk
Cons Takes a degree in Network Administration and Microsoft Certification to even get started
Poor help file and User Guide without the above training
Not nearly enough examples on how to integrate other hardware ie. gateways and wireless access points.
Summary Without the necessary training, this product is way too high end for 99% of the normal user base. Working "our of the box" is a complete joke. There is no explanation for instance of why changing parameters for the "ext-wlan (WLAN)" so that the Linksys WAP will be recognized hoses the regular LAN setup. It doesn't make sense and nothing in a help file explains it.
I've wasted $500 and many man days of what could have been billable hours trying to get this equipment to work. Tomorrow, I'm goin out and find a good Linksys device and yank this piece of crap out.
