Adobe Photoshop 5.0.2 is out; potential installation problem noted

Marc Pawliger (of Adobe) offers the following advice about installing the update:

There is a possible reason that the Adobe Photoshop 5.0.2 Update would fail to run: If you have run any of the freeware or shareware "Mercutio updaters" on the Photoshop 5.0 application, you must reinstall the unaltered 5.0 application before running the 5.0.2 Update. Also, you do not need to run the Mercutio Patch on the 5.0.2 application because one of the fixes made for 5.0.2 corrects the problem the Mercutio updaters are meant to solve.

On the plus side, and as now confirmed by several readers, this means that the update fixes the white menus/Mac OS 8.5 issue.
