AirPort Software 1.1: OpenTpt Remote Access file is needed (at least on an iBook)

Regarding the new AirPort Software 1.1 update (see yesterday's item), Eric Stieringer reported what appeared to be a conflict involving the AirPort Control Strip Module and some other extension, leading to a freeze at startup. Later investigation on his part revealed that this was not correct. Here's what is correct: "After installing the update on my iBook, the Airport Setup Utility automatically launched upon restart. This is actually what precipitated the crash." And the reason it caused the crash is because Eric had disabled the OpenTpt Remote Access file. This file seems to be required for AirPort software to work. Confirming this relationship, Dave Mah Ming adds: "If a user disables the OpenTpt Remote Access library on an iBook, and then tries to switch on/off the AirPort connection using the Control Strip module, the Control Strip will unexpectedly quit and cannot be restarted until a reboot is performed. Also, if this library is disabled and a user goes to launch the AirPort application, a hard freeze will occur. This problem occurs on iBooks. My iMac DV does not have this problem, and I have not yet had a chance to test this on a G4."
