<b>Global Village PC vs. Mac modems: a follow-up

Regarding the Mac vs. Windows price difference for the Global Village 56K/Ethernet Combo card (covered last time), a reader claims that the full version of the needed Mac software is not on the Global Village web site. Also, Global Village currently has $50 rebate for the Mac version of the modem (thanks, Chad Jones).

Finally, Jason Chen had a similar situation with a Global Village X2 56K external modem: he had the "PC" version of the modem. He called Global Village, who shipped him the Mac software. He also purchased a "PC serial to Mac serial adaptor." The modem has worked "flawlessly" on his Mac ever since.
