BootCD update is out

BootCD 0.3 is out. As covered in our OS X Utilities page, this utility allows you to create a customized bootable CD with a Dock that contains the utilities you select!

The update fixes the issues with auto-disk mounting. Also, disk utilities such as Drive10 now work correctly. You can run Drive10 on a disk, right off of the boot CD, without having to use Terminal. [Note: For the home page of the author, click here.]

The Notes file that comes with the software has some important information:

• This version of BootCD creates a 5 MB RAM Disk for various purposes. If you want to add things to the RAM Disk, drag them to the folder etc/RamDiskContents on the disk. Obviously, you shouldn't put more than 5 MB of files in there.
• This version of BootCD has the root password set to 'bootcd'.
• Please use Disk Copy and not Toast to burn the image to a CD. Toast messes with the boot blocks and will usually result in a non-bootable CD.
