Installing OS X Server on a dual processor G4: a follow-up

CNET staff
In a follow-up to our recent coverage on installing the Mac OS X Server on a dual processor G4, John DeMillion writes:

"I also recently successfully installed Mac OS X Server 10.0 on a new DP 800MHz QuickSilver G4. One additional item to add is that the Mac OS X Client CD which comes with QuickSilver machines contains a 'Mac OS X Server Support' folder containing a Mac OS X package that you are to install after installing Mac OS X Server. The ReadMe in that folder specifically talks about using Mac OS X Server and the steps for installing the additional package, so it's supported by Apple.

I did notice that the Mac OS X Server CD took a very long time to boot on the QuickSilver, sitting at a gray screen with the spinning rainbow cursor, but it eventually brought up the installer and things went normally from there."
