Apple TV crashes Some users are reporting iTunes 7.3.2 crashes when attempting to synchronize with Apple TV units.

MacFixIt reader Robert Gauthier writes: "iTunes now crashes with updating my Apple TVs- have two of them."

Potential fixes for this issue include:

Reset Apple TV Unplug your Apple TV's power cord and wait 30 seconds then plug it back in again.

Restore Apple TV Press and hold both Menu and Menu down/scroll (-) on the Apple Remote for 6 seconds or until the status light blinks amber, choose a language, then choose Factory Restore.

Playlists empty Some readers are reporting that their playlists/libraries are empty after applying the iTunes 7.3.2 update. One reader writes:

"After applying the update for itunes, my main screen is empty. I can see my albums on the left, but if i click one nothing shows up, window is empty. The odd part is, everything is playable already deleted the .plist but no effect."

  1. If you are experiencing this issue, you may want to attempt the following process, which will completely re-build your library:
  2. Open your ~/Music/iTunes folder and move "iTunes Library" file to another the location (the Desktop will suffice)
  3. Restart iTunes, creating a new Library file
  4. Open iTunes preferences, click the Advanced tab, and check the option not to copy any files when adding to library
  5. From the file Menu select 'Add to Library' and choose the iTunes Music folder.
