.Mac preference pane not reading iDisk size correctly

.Mac preference pane not reading iDisk size correctly

CNET staff

While the "Get Info" panel and IDisk Utility application will correctly report the size of a user's iDisk under virtually all circumstances, the .Mac pane of System Preferences will often fail to reflect the accurate size.

As such, its best to use one of the former displays (Get Info or the iDisk Utility) when gauging iDisk size.

MacFixIt reader Danny Rosin writes:

"The .Mac preference pane seems to misread the iDisk size. After losing data in the past I was rewarded with extra strorage space by Apple (thanks!), and this relative advantage was kept in the last upgrade (thanks again!). However, what is obvious in the Get Info panel and in the iDisk Utility is not reflected in the iDisk tab in the preference pane- it still shows only 1 GB of storage."
