New and Noteworthy: Apple countersues Creative; Intel, Boot Camp drive Mac sales climb
Apple countersues Creative The E-Commerce Times reports shares in Creative Technology extended their fall in Singapore after Apple Computer reportedly filed a countersuit against Creative for alleged infringement of its MP3 player patents, dealers said. "Apple filed the case in a U.S. court on Monday, according to news reports, the same day that Creative filed a lawsuit in another U.S. court alleging that Apple infringed Creative's own MP3 player patents. Creative filed a separate complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission seeking to block the import into the U.S. of Apple's iPod MP3 players, which are mostly made in China." More.
Intel, Boot Camp drive Mac sales climb Macworld UK reports that new research from the ChangeWave Alliance suggests that Apple is about to see its market share explode. "The independent industry stock research firm says that it has: 'Rarely seen the kind of momentum in its proprietary surveys of computer industry personnel that Apple has registered in recent months.'"
