NAV 5.0.3/MYOB conflict fixed A previously reported conflict between Norton AntiVirus and Mind Your Own Business (MYOB) is one of the fixes included in the NAV 5.0.3 update released last week. Specifically, it fixes a "problem selecting menus in MYOB Premier with Auto-Protect active." (Thanks, Jean-Luc Warin.)

NAV 5.0.3 installation glitch? A couple of readers (including Mike Davis) have reported problems getting the Norton AntiVirus 5.0.3 update to install successfully. The Installer balks, claiming that it cannot find a valid version to update. Usually, a reinstall of the original version fixes this sort of problem.

Update: Several readers (including Pat Garrahy) claim this happens only if you have more than one version of NAV installed on your mounted volumes (usually because you have more than one volume with a System Folder). The work-around is to delete all but one version.

NAV 5.0.3 and .zip files Rick Darenberg claims that NAV 5.0.3 will crash when trying to check .zip compressed files; a work-around is to turn off NAV's option to automatically scan .zip files. Gordon Alley was unable to duplicate this problem.
