Boost PB G4 speed If you want to void your warranty and possibly destroy your PowerBook G4 400MHz in order to push the speed to levels approaching the 500MHz model, this page has a full set of instructions.

What's 2-2-2 anyway? With all the talk recently about 2-2-2 vs 3-2-2 RAM and its possible relation to RAM problems after the firmware upgrade, some of you may want to know exactly what 2-2-2 and 3-2-2 mean. This MacFixIt Forums thread (Just curious) provides the answer. Also see this thread (Identifying RAM?) for related information on Apple System Profiler and identifying the type of RAM you have.

HP 970 does not save preferences? Randy Harris reports that his HP 970 Cse printer, using the 4.13 driver, does not save preferences changes (such as from normal to draft). Even holding down the Option key at closing of the Print dialog box, which gets the Save request, still does not actually save. He adds: "I also own the HP 812 - which does not have this problem."
