Source: EarthLink music service not coming to the Mac

We previously reported difficulty with the currently available free trial of Earthlink 's new Digital Music Service. After attempting to register, the following message is presented:

"Sorry! We've detected that you are using a Mac computer and our service currently only supports users of the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows? 98, 98SE, 2000, Me, or XP. We are working toward and hope to be supporting Mac users in the near future. Thank you for your interest in our service. *Includes Microsoft Windows Media Technology"

We have since received word from a member of the EarthLink Mac development team (who wishes to remain anonymous) indicating that no Mac OS X version is currently in development.

"EarthLink has no plans to move the music service to the Macintosh platform . They have received tons of response asking for it, but they ignore most Mac requests."
