Looks & Sounds Great! Builds up your hopes and Dreams!by 358942 - August 23, 2008
Pros: Its Cinematic qualities blow you away.
Cons: But try getting your Keynote Project on to DVD. Bad news!
Review:
As it looks and sounds so much better than iMovie and other
competing products, you forget its mainly a slide show presenter. Because you can include movie clips, photos and music and voice over. The bottle neck is actually getting it onto DVD, so that you can see it on TV, or a projector (Big screen).
I suppose you can do this via usb and a laptop, BUT I want my project on DVD! Here, in a word the snag is not big time but Quicktime! That awful piece of software that is the BOTTLENECK that destroys all your dreams. That is if you can ever get it to work properly in the first place.

Not for those working with sound filesby Jean Guy Nadeau - March 1, 2007
Pros: Beautiful presentations
Cons: Extremely poor on the audio side
Review:
If your presentations are only text, tables and charts, and pictures Keynote is the app. for you. Easy to use. Beautiful. With regard with the above, I would rate it an 8. But if you use sound or clip files, stay away from Keynote as you cannot really customize the use of sound files, like playing a sound file during 4 slides, or importing and exporting presentations with sound files. Sure there are work arounds, but it is much much easier to stick to PowerPoint until Apple fixes its presentation app. When Apple fixes the sound issues, Keynote will really be up there with PowerPoint. Overall rate will thus be 4.
