"Many things changed for the worse"

    on June 18, 2003

Summary: In Office 95-2000, I could format text from the keyboard (no mouse). Not in XP: It has a horrendous un-navigatable task pane. Same obnoxious overkill for starting a new document. XP's task pane is every bit as bad as the "happy paperclip" useless help animation, but you can't work around the task pane. Do NOT buy Office XP. Find a version of Office 2000.
