"Find the gold between bunch of Junk." on by dkcreat
Pros: Wide search, Faster, Easy & Usefull Search/Filter Options, chances of improving faster than rivals
Cons: Gives a lot junk in small screen, NO RSS!!!, No Save option, not integrated with reader(as per now), No narrowing features
Summary: When I went to Google Scholar i was very excited about it, as I always love the "Googling".I was expecting a lot help from it, such as easy to understand interface, fast & vast search, usability on the hand, & lot more.
But this time it was very bad experience for me. I found 'Results 9,020 for programming for beginner.' from which only "3" results were relevant to my search, other results were either language specific or development application specific, even some were from hardcore programming articles.
Many of the results were book title, which cant be helpful unless you buy them.
What I like about it is only "GOOGLE scholar" logo which i found neat enough.Yes their documentation are very extensive & helpful for any one starting from beginner to expert researcher. Other wise 2.5 stars out of 5 for vast & fast results.
