"Seamless performance for Windows XP"
Pros: Trust that it was made to run well in Windows, easy to set up, can be run on 3 PCs
Cons: Not much different from Norton and McAfee products
Summary: I have been a user of Live OneCare since the beta. I had a few experiences with Norton products that were good and bad. I chose Live OneCare because I felt that Microsoft would create an antivirus software package that ran seamlessly with XP. I sometimes feel like the only person who still has some trust in Microsoft, and I trust that my computer will be covered just as well with OneCare as with any of the competitors. The idea that it is an all-in-one solution for AV, firewall, updates, backup, and antispyware is also a plus.
I used one of my PC installs on my parents' PC for the reason of simplicity. Their PC runs the AV and Spyware updates, Windows Updates, and Defragmentation automatically. This is a definate plus for the average home user. Plus, Live OneCare gives you a daily status of the PC. Overall, I feel this product is just as good, if not slightly better than the competition from Norton and McAfee, and I will continue to use it and recommend it to others. 8 out of 10. Microsoft could afford to charge less for this product I think. $29.99 a year would be about right.

Without a doubt One care is the best thing Microsoft has put together for PC in years. I was a norton's fan,but the memory it used and the slow down of my older 1.6mz P4 was amazing. I installed One care removed Norton's and my pc runs faster, tuning up is great, defender does the job. MICROSOFT this time you rock. How about opening the product internationally. Its great

I have a thinkpad with a brand new hard disk. I installed OneCare with just Excel, Word, Illustrantor and Photoshop installed on the new disk. After I installed OneCare I got the dreaded blue screen of death 5 times. I am wondering if it was the beta version of their spyware product. It is unclear what caused the problem but I quickly uninstalled OneCare and all is well again.
I think MSFT should make this a free product to compensate us all for the unsecure and buggy Windows software they created and for the even buggier Internet Explorer.
