"Works as stated - mostly"
Pros: Small package easily mounts under dash. Handles CD changer commands from our 2004 Chevy Astro unit with a little learning curve. Auxilliary input provides surround sound from the DVD player when on long trips. Works well.
Cons: The iPod and this module apparently lose track off each other after shutdown and restart of car ignition overnight. Must unplug and re-plug module-to-radio cable and/or iPod cable to reset.
Summary: This module gives far superior sound quality over the typical FM transmitter iPod connection option while providing some functionality from the car stereo faceplate controls. Installation is for those who don't mind a little digging in the dashboard, but it's well worth the effort. I'm buying a second unit for our son's car since he likes the way our unit works. I recommend this items to friends looking for a better iPod connection plus DVD player connection to their car stereo.
