"Does not make a huge impression for me"
3.0 starsPros: Stable enough on first release. Adds some useful features to people married to the Apple closed garden
Cons: My 2011 Macbook Pro runs hotter, does not support some Mac's Apple once touted as the best only 3 years ago?
Summary: This is a OS upgrade for Apple lovers. No not the one's who buy Mac's and stay away from being trapped in a closed Apple garden. I'm talking the ones who havw a Mac,iPhone and iPad and probably 2 or three iPods. Those are the ones who will best benefit from the upgrade of Mountain Lion. For $20 if all of your third party apps support it. I don't see a reason not to upgrade. As it stands the way Apple is going you will be left in the dark if you don't. Apple is all about frequent hardware purchases and killing off what was once the pride of Apple. This is nothing new folks. Apple is not Microsoft. It won't support a OS like Microsoft has done with XP. Nor will it support what it considers older Apple hardware that's obsolete. Don't you feel like buying a Mac is like buying a car. It loses value in Apple's mind the minute the new model comes out.
My review is simple because for me Mountain Lion is not anything real special. Its another incremental improvement from Apple that adds some more IOS features and basically caters to a Mac/iPad or iPhone user. If your not into owning lots of Apple products and only own a Mac your not going to find this much more then a Lion refresh.
