"Will not burn Stadard DVD's with Canon HF10 HD Camera"

Pros: Will archive camera video files.

Cons: Will not burn Stadard DVD's; Size is bulky; No decoding/encoding abilities; Need Vista or blu-ray player for playback (XP won't read the discs).

"easy to connect to Canon HG10 to burn a AVCHD disk"

Pros: little light burner, easy to handle

Cons: playing the burned disk on a AVCHD-player, some scenes do not go fluently in to each other. At the end of some scenes there is a non-moving image for a few seconds.
