"could be better" on by nailzz
Pros: runs well without any patches,I saw someone said it needs a patch no its fine check your system.
Cons: to short in single player mode, completed entire game in 7 days at only one & half hours per day, that's just sad
Summary: 4 out of 5 stars only because its to short I had better expectations for this game the first game was better but just full of bugs that were not fixed, time to start looking for a new game maker that will complete any patches that might be needed

"Could be great... but BADLY needs a patch" on by countmattula
Pros: From what I can tell, the graphics are amazing. Frame rates are better in Direct X 9 mode, with not too much quality degredation.
Cons: Game crashes around save/checkpoints.... luckily no BSOD's here, but the game runs smoothly, then all of a sudden crashes... no problems with ANY other games at the moment.
Summary: Got this game, felt that it would work fine on my Radeon HD 4870. I have played the game a little. From what I can tell, the game crashes on different system. Nvidia kids try to say its an ATI problem, but I've seen similar problems with Nvidia cards as well. Hopefully they will release a patch for this game, and until they do, I will be playing my XBOX 360 instead.
System:
Intel Core2Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz
3 GB DDR2 Ram
Visiontek Radeon HD 4870 512 MB DDR5 Vram
Vista Home Premium 32-bit -
"Could be great, but for now plagued with issues" on by jgrant_
Pros: As always, the Crysis engine looks beautiful, providing detail beyond any other fps game. The nanosuit functionality is unique to the Crysis franchise and adds a tremendously enjoyable variety to the game.
Cons: Huge number of compatibility issues causing random game crashes and full system crashes -- this is new, Crytek, Crysis played fine... Much slower load times than Crysis and overall performance seems worse than the original.
Summary: Warhead is new - I preordered and have had it for only 2 days now - but during those two days the game has crashed every single time I've played it, ranging from within 10 minutes of starting the game to perhaps 45 minutes. Considering that I was playing Crysis (the original) this morning on High Graphics at 1680x1050 with 50+fps, its extremely disappointing to have Crysis Warhead crash in the middle of my gameplay - its ruining the experience and I think Im going to wait for a patch before I play it again. That being said, what I did get to play was amazing - the graphics look largely the same as the original, but the new vehicles and improved vehicle handling make a big difference. Performance seems slower than the original, which is very odd considering the hype about how this game would be playable on a $700 rig... I have a SSD hard drive which made levels load for Crysis in about 15-30 seconds, and in Warhead its taking a little under a minute to a minute and a half... Crytek, get your patches together quickly please!
Game played on: Intel Core2 Duo 6750 Conroe, 4 Gigs DDR2-800, Samsung 32GB SSD SLC Primary HD, nVidia 9800GTX+ 512MB
