"Its a Fast, and realistic game." on by luke-cool5

Pros: I have a Logitech Driving Force GT Racing Wheel, and you can program it to feel real. The eye candy is great , and there's lots of tracks. Its a well thought out game.

Cons: My brother has an AMD 1090T with a Radeon HD 6970 and he's had some problems. I have an Intel E8400 with a GTX9800+ and have had no problems at all. My point is the game is not perfectly compatible with all hardware; it seems to favor Intel and Nvidea.

Summary: It's a great game if you know how to program your controls.

"Arcade Eye Candy" on by Biglet

Pros: Looks awesome, great sound. If you're watching someone else play you'll want to play too...

Cons: The same 'swivel in the middle' bizarre steering of the original Colin McCrae game, that is to say the handling is totally unrealistic.

Summary: No matter how pretty, this is not the game for me.

The car handling appears designed for thumb-pads rather than a wheel, sacrificing realistic grip, traction and balance for a "feather the throttle, with left-foot braking and a neat Scandinavian flip, by pressing your left thumb" effect.

There's a simple test for any driving game - try driving around at normal road speeds and see how the car handles. You'll soon notice the how the steering is virtually an on/off switch and how, even on dry tarmac, you can broadside around bends at 20mph...

If you want a rally SIMULATION then this, once again, fails (though I imagine it will sell by the bucketload to 12 year olds).

Even the crash damage is feeble, unless you repeatedly ram a tree on purpose it just keeps going, even on the max setting.

Sad to say, Richard Burns Rally, positively ancient as it may be, still rules the Rally Roost.
