"Turbine is supportive of a Racist environment"
Pros: D&D Based game
Cons: It doesn't even come close
Summary: This has got to be my worst gaming experience ever and I will never play another Turbine game again.
The game can be fun until about level 3 or 4 when the missions start getting tougher and by tougher I mean tougher to get a group to do the mission you need to do,as the missions aren't that tough (on Normal) IF you have experienced group members. This is the last game you want Leroy Jenkins in your group for and yet it always happens when you try the harder content like the VON series.
Turbine are worse than Cultists when it comes to their Dogmas of what you must do to enjoy the game:
You MUST join a Guild, otherwise you will find leveling a painfully slow process once you get to level 7,
You MUST collect and turn in collectables, otherwise you do not get the 'invisible' favor to unlock better loot drops. Don't turn in too many at once tho, otherwise Turbine's Stasi GMs, who have to be some of the most racist people in Gaming, will tag you for a ban. And on low population servers you WILL find yourselves playing with GMs; most servers are low population at this point.
You MUST put up with an environment that is completely derogatory to gamers of an Asian backround, if this is the kind of base Turbine wants to attract they need to do a Civil War MMo next; It was so bad I was forced to send Hasbro a letter, but Turbine, the notoriously Customer UNfriendly company they are has failed to do anything about it.
You MUST constantly spend time organizng your inventory and if you get twinked by someone with some fat armor or weapon, you can expect the level of your loot to drop until you have gained enough Xp to be "worthy" again.
You MUST wait long periods for suitable groups if you are not on the few prime servers, playing at prime time, in which case you can expect heavy amounts of lag, with teh all too frequent disconnection. And if lag doesn't take out your teamates, there is an epidemic of people leaving half way thru missions without a word, or with a lame excuse like "My guild is calling"
You MUST endlessly repeat content before you move on to new content or you get hosed on XP, favor and loot.
You MUST put up with slow GM response time when a needed item or Boss fails to appear; half the time they tell you they are not a high level GM enough to fix your problem and a quarter of the time they can't even do anything to help
All these are the tired methods Turbine uses to get people to play the game long after all the (completable) content has been exhausted, and I note completable since Turbine has a bad habit of releasing broken quests that they drag their feet on fixing, such as the Titan.
But don't take my word for it, don't buy the game until you have tried the 7 day free trial and if you want a real taste of things to come, try starting a character on the non recommnded servers, as that is how it is like MOST of the time between the meager content updates.
