IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover user reviews (PC)

Pros As much as I really dislike saying bad things about someone or some peoples efforts there is not much to like about this PC game if you are a buff at all and I happen to own about eight or nine different types of combat flight sims

Cons Would you believe it took 12 hrs to download the first time and that version was corrupted then the second time around it took ten hrs and still does not work properly. Trying to get support from these people is almost non-existent unless you like to blog

Summary For a game lauded as been THE next big thing for Windows 7 this is a real dissapointment; it plays on Windows7 Home Premium 64 bit like new games use to play on old windows xp, hang ups-freezes-goofy sounds-no controlability and on top of all that it has no default for joysticks you have to pre-set every and I mean EVERY thing so unless you are an IT whiz I would pass on this one to much aggravation for too little reward....it does have good cockpit graphics (big deal) and instead of just downloading in your language it downloads all (unnecessary) and you have to go through a thing called ''Steam" to activate some sort of on line platform which should be chosen not forced upon.

I wish I would have read the Editors Review first because it hits the nail squarely on the head...the developers really need to go back to the drawing board on this one so I'll just have to grin and bear it for being a big dummy for buying the new release and wait on ''fixes'' to come down the pike.
