"Great Features, Great Sound, Great Altec Lansing..."
onSummary This set of speakers is the best for a 5.1 surround. The sound quality is amazing as well as its features. The wired-remote is really handy and nice. Speakers don't have any problem whatsoever. If you're looking for really, really good surround speakers at a really nice price these are the best bet. Altec Lansing 51000, pretty goog, pretty good, pretty neat, pretty neat, pretty nice, pretty nice. Good Job Altec Lansing.

"Excellent value in PC gaming speakers"
onSummary I'm very satisfied with these speakers. Paired with Creative's Audigy Gamer sound card the output is everything I wanted for PC gaming. Considering that they are available online at much less than the list price (typically under $120) you'd have difficulty finding a better value. Hints: For full 5.1 sound: 1) In Windows XP, set Control Panel/Sound and Audio Devices/Volume/Speaker Settings/Advanced to the proper configuration. 2) You won't get 5.1 output unless the media is encoded for it. Check your game's documentation before assuming there's a problem with your sound system. The 5100's have three modes--Stereo x2, 4.1 Surround and 5.1 Surround--which will compensate by routing output through all six speakers.
