Adjustable bass Sub-Woofer is tight and punchy. 3-1/2 inch cube speakers are clear and deliver smooth sound. A perfect sized system to work with a desktop computer.
Volume control could be a little bigger and look a little nicer. It would be nice to include an on/off switch on the volume control (on/off switch is currently located on the sub-woofer).

This system, which I paid $79.99 with free shipping from Cambridge, is by far the best I have come across for the sound it produces and the money spent. I have had/used Cambridge/Creative Technologies products in the past and have always been happy. Anyone looking for a massive upgrade to your desktop computer's flat sounding stock speakers look no further. I have listened to the displays at Best Buy, Circuit City and some of the office product stores. I have also compared tons of reviews and did extensive research. Now that I have had this system set up and running a few days I can tell you that nothing comes close for the price. It will keep music and gaming enthusiasts alike very happy. You'll easily spend twice as much to get the same quality sound from a different system. The only thing I wish Cambridge would do is add an on/off switch to the volume control to turn the sub and system off. The system's power switch is currently located on the sub-woofer, which for me sits behind my desk out of view and out of reach. Cambridge's manual states you can leave the system powered on all the time and turn it off if you will be on vacation or away from home for weeks at a time. I also wish the volume control was a little bigger and nicer looking. A volume control such as the one on Bose's Companion 3 system would be ideal. I know it would drive cost up, but I would certainly pay the extra money for the convenience and appearance. All that aside, sound and quality at a reasonable price is what counts and Cambridge delivered! The 3-1/2 inch cube speakers deliver crisp clear sounds in the high to mid range. The adjustable sub-woofer delivers low punchy bass that sounds great and you can feel. Not a fan of deep bass, then simply lower the setting to your desired bass level. I highly reccomend this multimedia speaker system to anyone looking to add some depth to their desktop computer or other music peripheral. By the way, Cambridge offers a free 45-day in-home use trial period. If not completely satisfied with any of their products after trying them at home, then you can return them for a full refund. You really have nothing to loose.
