"Sound good but have PROBLEMS"
Pros: Sound great, can get unbelievably loud, super loud bass, a powerful system
Cons: Overheats really easy, cheap controller
Summary: I have had problems with some of the lower cambridge speakers in the past and therefore i decided to spend a bit more money this time to get the megaworks speakers. These speakers sound great, better than many i have ever heard and with a THX certification they BETTER! Also they can get extremely loud without any distortion. Also the bass bumps really loud and can shake my entire house! Unfortunately these speakers overheat really easily. During some house parties when i use my speakers and they are turned up fairly loud (not even at their loudest) the bass will simply overheat and the speakers will begin to hiss, then cut out and not make any sound until you turn them off for 5-10 minutes to allow the bass to cool down. Even with a giant fan pointed directly at the back of the bass, it still overheated entirely too easily. This aspect of the speakers is unbelievably annoying, since they are meant to be turned up loud they should be able to handle the heat. Also the controller is CHEAP, mine stopped working and continually would turn off all the speakers and reset my bass and treble and volume settings. Somehow just recently it started working again! YAY i dont have to shell out 30 bucks for a new one! Anyways, these are amazing speakers for the price, but if you intend to turn them up loud for extended periods of time (AKA use them how they are intended to be used) you better look somewhere else.
