"Not 600 Watts; Worth the Money"
Pros: These speakers are worth 250 dollars, but aren't.
Cons: The advertised specs would have you believe they're worth way more than 250, but aren't
Summary: I got these speakers for seventy dollars on newegg about 2 years ago. They were advertised as 600 watts. At the time I didn't really know anything about buying speakers. They're not 600 watts, they're about 210 (or so says the manual). The first set I got had a busted speaker, but the replacements newegg sent were fine.
They get pretty loud (certainly loud enough to jam to, or get the cops called); the bass is pretty deep and clear; the sound is pretty realistic: but keep in mind they're 70 bucks. They're not great, but an extremely good deal non-the-less. I think recently one of the speakers blew, but it was right next to a large diameter bass amp for a few months, and I think that's when it started to go.
If all you listen to is hip hop, and you want to feel those phatty beats, you might want to get a subby with a lower frequency range, but for any rock that uses the low Dropped D string and higher, you won't be let down.
