Pros: CHEAP, simple hookup, quality construction, doesn't require a wallwart outlet plug, good sound for most applications, headphone jack, rated to produce bass as low as 50 Hertz, which is unmatched in this class.

Cons: No tone or bass control, typical canny/tinny aspect to the sound is most noticeable with music (rock, classical, anything with many instruments).

Summary: These are the best of the super cheap computer speakers out there. It's simple to hookup, simple to use, and takes up very little space on your desk (and at your wall power outlet). The sound is fine - nothing excellent or outstanding - but decisively "good" though muddiness shows up with your heavier rock tunes and grander classical music. Low-end rated to get down to 50 Hertz, which is tops in this class. However, I don't believe in practice you'll hear 50 Hertz bass beats from this system :) You would need to keep your ear an inch away.
