Pretty darn good
Pros: Cheap and good bass
Cons: M3D is kinda crappy
Review: I recommend this if you watch alot of movies but not for the sole reason of listening to music

Boomy,.distorted but Cant beat price
Pros: Price. Looks. Passable for games.
Cons: Boomey sound from subwoofer makes these not as good as comparable 2 speaker systems.

Best Speakers for under $40

Review: Found these on clearance at Target for <$40 and have never looked back. These speakers sound great, have never had a problem and bass is really good. I like the seperate bass control on the sub. The quality with only a standard onboard sound controller and the M3D feature is awesome for gaming and also really good for listening to MP3's. Not sure about these at full price, but for $40, you cannot go wrong!

Review: It very very good sound. You can connect anything to it. Best feature is 4 channel and 2 channel music. You can connect walkman to it or to a PC. Nice one for $37.

Review: Originally $80, I was able to pick them up for $50 from a national office supply chain. It took a few minutes to configure my Sound Blaster Live card to optimize the sound, but once I did, I couldn't believe the incredible, full, rich sound. Way better than my home stereo system!

Review: I was looking @ the Klipsh THX speakers for 350 bux... HEard these, asked abotu em they are THX certified and man they ROCK ! Cant' say enough good about em. Headphone out if needed. Don't pay 400 for speakers ! These were like 230 @ Best Buy ! SOund better then the Klipsh !

Rear speakers did not work

Review: I just purchased the Z-540 speaker system yesterday. I have checked all the connections and the rear speakers just do not work. There is a setting called M3D which simulates surround sound when there is no audio for the rear channels, but it still did not work. Plugging in a separate sound source (Walkman) to test the front & rear confirmed that the rear simply did not work in either mode. I will return these speakers tomorrow.
