"If you are looking for HIFi look elsewhere"
Pros: Sub Woofer, control panel, remote control
Cons: Cannot replace good hifi speakers, Treble is woeful, you are better of getting the wired version (only 2 speaker cables vs 2 power cables)
Summary: I researched hard to get good computer speakers as I spend most of my time listening to music on the computer now instead of my budget HiFi. The reviews pointed to these to being amongst the best. Dont be fooled by the wireless label. The "wireless" speakers need more wires as they each have a power chord. You are better off with the z5400 which has speaker cables instead.
Sound Quality: Laughable really to even expect anything close to budget hifi from computer speakers. FOr £190 inc vat I expected very good sound quality. I am fairly disappointed. The Sub-woofer is very good, but is not worth the money on its own. I probably will replace the desktop speakers that come with it with proper normal budget bookshelf speakers. At least these can be connected to the sub-woofer which acts as an amp.
So not everything is wasted. And the control box is excellent. You can plug in other inputs - playstation, xbox, mp3 player etc.
The biggest dissapointment is the treble. Where is it? I cant hear it at all, even with a separate piezo tweeter of my own and with the treble options of a graphic equalizer turned full up.
There has to be better than this. Otherwise find a way of using your hifi speakers instead.
