Pros great sound for the size. i travelled around the world with these for a year and half. They were so easy to transport and were better than anything else i saw or tried. I really recomend them!
Cons no volume control. A separate volume control on the unit would be an immediate improvement but you can't have everything.
Pros Folds to the size of a double CD case. Long battery life.
Cons The audio cable is not retractable.
Pros The sound was very solid, not bad base, easy and quick. Long battery life. Traveled Africa with ipod and this: played jazz on the side of Kili
Cons Kinda heavy (price you pay for the base I guess)
Pros Portable, durable, and loud. The unit I have was purchased in 1986-87 time range to rock the Walkman! Yeah roll tape! The sound very good, no clipping. For a palm sized personal sound system I don't know that you will do much better in 2010.
Cons You can't buy it any more. They do hiss (reminds you of their casset roots).
Summary If you run across one of these units spend a moment and marvel that Sony was building this while everyone else was carrying "boom boxes" on their shoulder and break dancing. It may not be stunning by today's DSP filled standards but you have to admit that they sound pretty damn good even today. I heading out to the Record Bar now!
Pros great bass for their size
Cons few ways to swivel speaker heads.
Summary these speakers are wonderful! They deliver great bass using the two mini subwoofers on either side. Can go very loud without sounding like crap. These are worth every penny!
