"Was slightly faulty out of the box."

Pros

Seems like a very sturdy, accurate and well thought out system. Worked well except for the defect listed below.

Cons

The main thing was that the dead zone was off to the left of center. So the controller was always pointing slightly right. Software adjustments fixed that, but you had to go and extra 30 degrees to get it to turn left.

Summary

Seemed like it would have been a great product if not for the flaw. Fry's electronics took it back with no problem. Contemplating whether I want to try again or not. Mine came with the throttle quadrant with the 3 levers too and I really liked it.

One thing though is that you're really going to have to get the pedals too (almost as much as the yoke and throttles. Otherwise you have no rudder control. I tried mapping it to a throttle lever, but that was ridiculously hard.

I'm an aspiring pilot who has 7 hours of (real) flight time behind the controls of a (real) Cessna 152 and 172.
