"You Can Spend More but NOT Get More"
Pros: Quality - Features - WiFi - Screen - Case
Cons: Battery life using WiFi
Summary: This PDA runs circles around all the others, including the 624 MHz Dell. Why circles around the 624MHz? Because you don't need that extra speed. Unless you're a rocket scientist working in Iran, maybe.
While I loved the Palm OS and found WM-2003SE (Window Mobile 2003 Second Edition, the OS for this PDA) falling far behind, I now understand WM-2003SE much better and believe it is on par with the Palm OS. In fact is surpasses the Palm OS when it comes to expansion.
I don't mean to get off on beating a dead horse that has been done so many times before (Palm vs Win OS) but now after 6 months under my belt with this OS, I believed that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The bottom line is that Palm OS is great for PDAs. Win-Mobile is 'very good' for PDAs plus 'great' for interfacing (not the sync process) to your desktop tools. So you would want the best OS for a PDA if that's what you're buying, a PDA? Nope... Because man does not live by PDA alone.
The biggest mistake is believing in the reviewer's opinion of the Stylus (as a con). It is "perfectly" designed. While it is different than most of the 'old' PDAs that your grandfather used, it does one thing very good... it stays in your hand. Those little smooth "sticks" the others use are dropped all the time, roll off the table all the time, and roll under things where you can't find them all the time. This stylus is easy to remove compared to the others and hard to lose. If you gotta have round, get a stylus ink pen combo.
Most of the other reviewers touched on the important features so I'll just add one thing that I know you will like. Remember how a good ink pen feels in your hand? Well that's how the X30 feels... good in your hand. You will know you are holding a well made and solid device the first time you pick it up.
