"Handsome but Buggy"
Pros: Good looks and solid feel
Cons: Turns itself on and wears out its battery
Summary: I bought this on a whim, intending to replace my Ipaq rx3115, but returned it 7 days later. At first, I was attracted by the new Windows OS, larger memory, and faster CPU. I also liked its looks, which appeared both more rugged and professional looking than the rx3115. I was disappointed, though, by the lackluster software features which paled in comparison to the rx3115--ya, it has the latest OS and all the basics, but nothing else to brag about. I returned it to the store while I still could because it twice ran its battery down after I turned it off. After a fresh charge, its battery went from 94% to 44% in just 2 hours even though I had turned it off and it was warm to the touch! I decided to get my money back after reading other user comments about hx2700s doing the same thing. Maybe this is a problem with HP's new Window's Mobile 5.0 handheld's, because I never had this problem with my old Ipaq.

Battery sometimes runs down suddenly and sometimes stay the full distance. Maybe it switches itself on with reminders.
On an average 2 resets per day which may be a problem with the MS Windows version 5. -
I found some tweaks on a forum in HP support and the battery and heat issue stopped. I now get very good use of my ipaq between charges. And have not had any problems, nothing but excellent pda use.
