"Frequent unexplained data loss"
Pros: Would be just fine if it didn't have the data loss problem.
Cons: Having your Zire close to your cell phone causes the data loss apparently. No recall or refunds from Palm though.

Pros: Cheap (and nasty).
Cons: If you use a cellphone at all don't buy the Zire 21. Palm won't acknowledge the problem but it keeps loosing all data. Who doesn't use a cellphone today? I'm returning this. Palm is in denial

"Best Value for first-time PDA users"
Pros: I've had my Z21 for less than a month and I can't see how I ever lived without it! A great intro to the world of PDA's. If, and when I ever need something with more memory, etc., then I'll buy it. But for now, this is all I need.
Cons: Occassional lock-up, but was able to reset with little or no data loss.

Pros: Low cost device, replaced an HP Jornada to do contacts and schedule. Syncs with most, but not all Outlook features, but fine for my use. Great battery life.
Cons: Backlight would be a good feature, but would bump price and drop battery life.
