"What a change!"
Pros: Video and voice recording, beautiful 360x480 screen, excellent 65k colors, camera can swivel 180-degrees, MP3 player, CF and MS slots, remote control feature, finally a Clie with HotSync cradle!
Cons: Heavy, a bit too large, small memory space (16MB only!), no built-in WiFi, AeroPlayer not supported
Summary: An excellent Clie handheld with lots of features that outshine the competition. Most significant of these is the 320x480 screen that has a brightness eclipsing many other similar top-end PDAs.
Furthermore, it comes with the Clie RMC (free!) which is powerful and effective in controlling Sony TVs and VCRs. This is a real competitor to the popular NoviiRemote app, although only for Clie PDAs.
Best of all (particularly for office-based ppl) is that Sony finally included a cradle for the NX70v. All this while, I have been using Clies that come bundled together with a HS cable but this is the first one with a cradle (since my days of using a Palm PDA!). Sony should have included this essential item for all of their handhelds!
One great feature is voice and video recording. This is very handy when you wish to capture special occasions but not in still-mode. The TJ37 that i used previously may have built-in WiFi (something not found on the NX70v unless you purchase a WiFi CF card) but it loses out when recording is considered. Since MS comes with sizes of 512MB, 1GB, and even 2GB, storage of voice and video recordings is a breeze on this handheld without having to worry about memory loss.
