Pros good marketing
Cons bad tech support
Summary I ordered/rcv'd fitbit scale, and have been trying to get it to work for 2 hrs.
There is no tech support phone line.
The on-line material is useless.
I'm reasonably comfortable around computers and home networks and a set-up should not be this painful.
So far, my call on this product is that it is still half baked
Pros If you only have one of their products and never need support you might be OK.
Cons Poor Technical Support. Myself and Fitbit could not get their Aria Scale and Fitbit One to both connect to their website on the same account. Did not respond after a few days.
Summary I bought the Fitbit One and the Fitbit Aria scale together and I could not get them both to sync to the Fitbit website. I am a highly technical person and understand the technology. I worked with fitbit support and did everything they said (despite some of the tasks seeming to be silly and out of a script). I kept doing things they asked and nothing worked. I also offered to have them connect to my PC and look at the issue but they did not bite. Then they stopped communicating and I told them I would return both products if they did not respond within 24 hours and they did not. I returned both.
I also had problems with the scale not being accurate and giving different readings within a couple of minutes together.
I was very disappointed and it seems like this company does not understand their own product. I get the feeling maybe they are just marketing the products and don't have the technical expertise to fix problems. If not, then they just have poor support. Either way I can't recommend their products.
Maybe if you only have one of their products instead of two and you don't have problems that require their help everything will be fine, but that's not a good situation
Pros The couple months it worked I love it.
Cons Do a search on Fitbit Aria err problem. no fixes. 100's of people are having this problem.
Summary Aria has a MAJOR err problem with no fixs!
Pros Looks Modern and Stylish
Cons Unable to Set-up
No Response Customer Support
Summary I am computer savvy, and have done many connections and home computer projects....Meaning, I am familiar with computers, networks, and setting things up, etc. This machine looks nice, but after 4 days of trying to set this scale up and sync it to my network to no avail...Combined with NO LIVE customer support, and unresponsive emails...I decided to return it to Best Buy. Seems 'hit or miss'...But from the reviews I have read on this and other websites now (I made the mistake of not doing so before purchasing)...I don't know how this product can survive...And I begin to question the entire Brand if this is the kind of stuff they produce and put out with no support.
Pros Nicely built
When you get past setup, very good at what it does.
Gives you a fairly good analysis of your weight, Bodyfat (though it's not completely accurate) and BMI
Note: If you got the money, get a Fitbit Flex or Force too.
Summary I would recommend it to anyone that needs a "push" to lose weight.
